The University of New South Wales (UNSW) with the support of DCCEEW and in collaboration with USP, PPA and SPC
will be hosting a workshop on ‘Planning tools for Renewable Energy Transition and Renewable Hydrogen for the Pacific.’
The three-day hybrid workshop will be attended by Energy Sector Stakeholders in the Pacific Island region including
Utilities, Development Partners/NGOs, Regional Government officials (energy, transport, climate etc.), Implementing
Agencies, Academia and Tertiary education providers, Industry peak organisations, Consultants and Contractors. This
forum will be ideal opportunity to engage with the industry stakeholders and initiate dialogue on region’s challenges
including energy access, resilience, grid integration, cross-sector energy coupling issues and energy modelling tools that
will support this transition and fossil fuel dependence within and beyond the electricity sector.
